All our wood including the posts, support beams, decking boards, newel posts and balustrade is pressure treated to ensure it lasts longer giving you full value for money.

We nail temporarily and then use 10 mm x 100 mm long galvanised coach bolts to secure the sub base to the support posts and also the newel posts. This is far more secure and stronger and adds years to the life of your decking.

Proper treated decking screws are used which allow you to remove the boards if required without splitting / ruining your beautiful decking.

Our decking boards come with different groove widths so you can decide which you prefer. These grooves are important to offer grip and let the rain run off.

You can protect your decking even further by applying a coat of Decking varnish. We recommend Ronseal Decking varnish and once dry the rain simply puddles into small beads and runs straight off. If you wish we also apply a coat of decking varnish once your new decking is complete as part of the service.

Rather than use balustrade there are loads of new and exciting panels made from wood and metal that we can use that are smart and different. Have a look at the Jewson website for some ideas of what is available.
